Single and happy? Isnt that an oxymoron? The rush to the alter is real, happiness is tied to saying I do and those who haven’t said the sacred vows are banished to the land of misery until the knight in shinning armor turns up and gives us the kiss of life that is marriage….
Marriage is a wonderful thing and is definitely on my prayer list, amongst other things, however there is much to be said for living in the now. As a woman who is currently single, I have learnt the importance of loving and enjoying every part of my life, even as I wait for the things I don’t have now. I have learnt to be secure in the knowledge of my future and to stop second guessing and ploting to arrive at a certain destination.
In today’s video, I share my personal insights on being happy while single. This is a topic I have discussed with countless friends-both single and married alike. I hope you enjoy watching and share with your friends also. Did I leave something out? or do you disagree with some of the points made? Please feel free to email me on glory@inspiredbyglory.com

Hi Glory! Yes, I believe that one can be single and happy. I’m afraid that I learned this fact quite late in life but I’m thankful that I’m equiped with this knowledge. I have learned that when you are unhappy and insecure while single, you will attract men who are attracted to your insecurities. But when you are super confident and generally ‘feeling yourself’ as a single woman, you will attract men who delight in your confidence. Also, you will see relationships as a nice addition to your life, and not a do-or-die affair. In any case, being in a relationship is not a guarantee that you will be happy. So whether you’re single, taken or quarter-to-marry, I say be happy at every point in your life.
