Whenever I watch, listen or read, I know when the object of my focus moves from my mind and touches my soul. Watching this video, I had to pause at least 3 times-just to take it all in. Many times, my heart developed fingers and clapped on its own because the words I heard resonated far deep into the recesses of everything I truly believe.
Zain Asher’s Tedx Talk is beyond inspiring for many reasons. She manages to turn a story of loss and disappoint to one of hope and success. Her story is one of experience, resilience, passion and preparedness, she has walked the tight rope and has come down safely at the other. In a world where we are taught that hard work, competition and ruthless self ambition are the main tools for success, Zain presents an altogether different narrative. One which focuses on trusting your struggles (disappointments, loss, frustrations, delays), creating your world as against competing for it, giving instead of hoarding and most importantly, preparing even when no one is watching.
